倒装句

在意义上分为两种：语法倒装（如疑问句）和修辞倒装（为了强调、平衡）。

在句型上为完全倒装（即主语后无其它动词）和部分倒装（主语后有其它动词）。

完全倒装：

1、There be句：

      There are a lot of books in the library.

2、“五对十个”句：即in out，up down，here there，now then， away off。

       Out rushed the boys.

      但代词不倒： Here you are.

3、介词短语、分词（过去/现在）、形容词前置句：

     Around the school are many tall trees.

     Standing on the top of the mountain is a small temple.

     Gone are the good old days.

     Unacceptable is the way he talks to me.

4、So，Nor/Neither开头句：

      You are a student. So am I.

       He can't ride a bike. Neither/Nor can I.

       但So意为“的确”时，不倒：Jane can speak English. So she (Jane) can't.

部分倒装

1、疑问句：

      Are you a teacher? What do you do?

2、虚拟条件句的省略句：三个词：should were had

      Should it snow here， people would feel amazing and amusing.

      Were you a student, you might understand my feelings.

      Had he come this time, he could have met you.

3、让步状语从句倒装句：用as代替although，有时也可用though。四种词：名词，形容词，副词，动词。

     (Although he is a man, he is weak in mind.)

     Man as he is, he is weak in mind.

     (Although he is old, he is energetic.)

     Old as he is, he is energetic.

     (Although we like sports very much, we don't have enough time.)

      Much as we like sports, we don't have enough time.

      (Although they ran, they still missed the bus.)

      Ran as they might, they still missed the bus.

4、“一---就---”句：no sooner （had）--- than，hardly/scarcely（had）---when。

       No sooner had his head touched the pillow, he fell into asleep.

       Hardly had he arrived at the place, he began to work.

       倒从句（即第一句）。

5、否定副词句：never，hardly，seldom，scarcely， barely， little， few， not only， not until， not once， never until。

       Never shall we leave those poverty-stricken people aside.

6、“决不”句：at no time， by no means， under no circumstances， in no case，in no city

       In no case shall we leave this problem unsolved.

7、“Only+状语”句：状语可是单词，或短语，或句子（状语从句）。

       Only then did he found out the truth.

       Only by hand can we get perfect work.

      Only after he realized the result did he acknowledge his bad act.

      倒主句。
